Swansea Wedding Photographer – Gower Engagement Portraits

Oldwalls Wedding Photographer After our shoot at Castell Coch, we headed across South Wales to Oldwalls in Gower to meet Clare and Anthony, they are due to married there on April 6th. We wanted to explore one of our favourite areas with them, the Llanmadoc marsh road. We worked as quickly as possible as it was quite cold despite being sheltered from the easterly wind, besides, Clare and Anthony were due back at Oldwalls for a delicious tasting session with their parents. The quality of the food is a really good reason for holding your wedding there and the new landscaping looks very promising. We plan to shoot at Weobley Castle (Wobbly Castle – as our kids used to call it!) during the wedding day, but the family pictures will work well in the lovely Oldwalls grounds. Clare sent us this message in the evening: “Hello! We love the photos. They are lovely….and I never, ever think that about photos with me in them! Thank you both so much for today. We really enjoyed it and you totally made me feel better about having my photo taken. We absolutely loved the location too! So glad you showed it to us. We are looking forward to going back there for a long walk, enjoy the rest of your Saturday. Thanks once again, Clare & Ant” [nggallery...

Bridgend Wedding Photographer – Southerndown Engagement Portraits

Coed-y-Mwstwr Wedding Photographer Finally we headed to Southerndown Bay for a beach shoot with Rhiannon and Dan who travelled down from Essex. They are to be married at the Coed-Y-Mwstwr Hotel in Bridgend on the 31st March, another top venue that has invested in a winter refurbishment. The Hendre Suite has had a complete remake, the flat roof has been replaced with a pitch roof with beams and chandeliers. It is now a lovely wedding space, with a new bar and sitting room (and loos!). It was still exceptionally cold at Southerndown, so we used the top of the beach and the undercliff to stay out of that pesky wind and managed splendidly. One good thing about this weather is that the ground is dry and the daffodils are in full bloom, so pictures in the lovely gardens of the Coed-y-Mwstwr will be a pleasure – no wellies required! Cardiff Wedding Photographer – Castell Coch Engagement Portraits

Miskin Manor Wedding Photographer We started at Castell Coch in North Cardiff and met the lovely Carley and David who live just up the road in Tonteg. The area immediately around the castle proved to be perfect for the shoot and Carley had quite a talent for posing, wearing her wonderful vintage red coat she ‘borrowed’ from her Grandmothers. We are due to photograph their wedding at the excellent Miskin Manor on Saturday 30th March, Miskin Manor is in Rhondda Cynon Taff with some of the nicest and most caring registrars to officiate at your wedding, and the ceremony room always looks wonderful with its altar-like wood panelling and minstrels’ gallery. We know how much Carley likes all things vintage and we will give a strong vintage wedding look to the images. [nggallery id=246]  ...

South Wales Wedding Photographer – Engagement Portraits

Engagement and Pre-Wedding Photography Last week Jules and I headed out on a tour of South Wales to meet 3 couples whose weddings we were due to photograph in the coming two weeks. All six are teachers – making the most of the Easter holidays to either take a honeymoon after the wedding or to prepare for their wedding day. Despite leaving the shoots until as late in the Spring as possible, the freezing weather still meant that coats, warm clothes and lots of cuddles were obligatory! Each of the couples were delighted with the fun of the photoshoot and now feel much more confident and in fact, really looking forward to the photographs on their wedding day. Here are just 3 of our favourite images from the...

Porthcawl Portrait Photographer South Wales Portrait Studio – Indie Seage’s First Birthday Photoshoot

A  First Birthday Photoshoot by South Wales Portrait Studio Two and a half years ago, we travelled to the foothills of the Sierra Nevada in Spain to photograph the wedding of Chris and Emily Seage. Martin already knew Chris from surfing but we got to know the rest of the family really well in our few days there. Ever since we have maintained our friendship with them, we were honoured to be asked to photograph Indie as a ‘bump’ just over a year ago. Last Friday Emily, Chris and Indie popped into the studio to commemorate Indie’s 1st birthday with a photoshoot at our portrait studio in Porthcawl.   by Porthcawl Portrait Photographer South Wales Portrait...

Porthcawl Portrait Photographer – Newborn Baby Portraits South Wales

Newborn baby portrait for Kobi by Porthcawl Portrait Photographer Beach boy Kobi called in to the studio this week, with Mummy and Daddy, for his first photoshoot with Porthcawl Portrait Photographer Martin.
